Ziboliboli

ABOUT US

Ziboliboli translated from the African tongue of Chichewe means Carved wooden images. Chichewe is the native language spoken in Malawi, East Africa. All sculptures and carvings are skilfully handcrafted by Africans. Many are sculptured from Ebony timber, using traditional carving tools and techniques passed down over many generations.

All artworks are protected and their natural beauty enhanced by our three dimensional box framing technique. The frames and surrounding mountboards are specifically selected to enhance the individual features of each sculpture or carving.

Ziboliboli designs are of the highest quality, uniquely African, designed to compliment any setting in which it is displayed.

All artworks are assembled in Cape Town, South Africa. The framing materials are selected from imported and locally manufactured suppliers.
